What is the best way to loose tummy fat?

i am not fat but i have too much baby fat on my stomach (i know this is really bad but i used to smoke weed and gained weight, go figure).

In order to loose the tummy fat, is there a certain way i have to diet?
or can i just eat normal and in the right amounts? (i know not junk food of course) i get confused
i exercise 3-5 times a week.

Tummy Fat?

I have abs underneath, but i have fat covering it. I have tried everything possible, and now, I can’t make myself do anything. My parents don’t cook, so I just grab something out of the pantry like bread and butter, vanilla wafers, or whatever. I don’t like taking time for anything. I’m in cheer, and need to shape my belly before March 10. Any suggestions? Oh, I don’t want diet pills, and I hate running.

How can I lose weight on my waistline and stomach and keep the weight on my hips and butt?

I am relatively thick. Decent size butt hips thighs very shapely. I want to make maintain my waistline and possibly make it smaller but when i lose weight I tend to lose it all over. How can I lose the weight on top and keep the weight below and possibly add more below with out my top half getting big as well?

How much weight did you lose on Weight Watchers?

I started the Weight Watchers points system 8 weeks ago and I’ve only lost 12lbs…I am a fairly large woman with 179lbs more to lose in order to get to my goal weight…I wish the weight would drop off faster…
I’d like to know from Weight Watchers clients (former or present), what were your results and how long did it take to reach your goal? If you used another means of weight loss, please share. I am just weighing out my options (no pun intended). Thank you in advance for your responses!

Weight Watchers is set up to help you lose about 1-2 pounds a week. Generally the first couple weeks you will lose more but it is a slow but healthy process. I have been doing it for 16 weeks and have lost 22 pounds. My wife lost 50 in 6 months and has kept it off for 2 years now. She still counts points and we both will for the rest of our life. Not sure why Olivia thinks it can’t be done, it is basically just counting calories.

12 pounds in 8 weeks is a really good number. Don’t be discouraged that it is happening slowly cause if you quit it won’t happen at all. Here are some tips that may help:

1. You’ve lost 12 pounds – did you adjust your daily point allowance. Every time the 2nd digit of your weight changes you lose 1 point.

2. Only use the 35 weekly points if you have a special occasion such as a birthday party or such, and then use as little as possible.

3. If you haven’t started exercising this can really help kick start the weight loss. Start of slowly with a casual stroll as far as you can handle and work your way up from there.

4, Do not add extra points for exercising. Remember, the goal is to lose weight

5. Be sure you are calculating points correctly. If you have more than one serving of something you must recalculate the points multiplying the calories, fat & fiber by the number of servings.

How do you get rid of tummy fat fast?

I have about a "handfull" of fat on my stomach, and i hate it. How do i exercise to get this tummy fat to go away fast? Because i have a lot of major events coming up and i really need to lose weight, also, i would like to lose weight all around? Any low calorie foods you know of? Thanks!

1. Diet. No need to reduce it drastically. Just eat wisely. and more frequently. 3 square meals a day is ready recipe to tummy gain. So the thing is to reduce your meal size, and increase the frequency.

2. Exercise – aerobic stuff. Jogging if you are young, brisk walking if you are old. In morning.

3. Water. As much as possible.

You would be hearing/reading a lot about doing crunches/abdominal exercise etc.
Those are good for toning your abdominal MUSCLES. They’ll do very little to reduce the fat which is there.

One more thing. That fat that you will reduce will be throughout your body. Spot reduction of fat is sadly possible only via surgery.

I have thunder thighs and a big butt so i always have trouble finding the right jeans!!!
I want to actually lose weight i dont want to make muscle because i want to be able to fit into a smaller pair of jeans because im 14 and a size 7!!!!
Please help me out on some ideas that will help me achieve my goal.

Muscle weighs more than fat, so it’s OK to build muscle while losing fat. Don’t be afraid of making muscle.

Eat healthy – don’t cut the calories too much, but do eat a smaller amount. Eat fruits and veggies, lean meats, and whole grains (100% whole wheat bread instead of white, brown rice, etc.)

Drink water – cut out the soda/pop. Try to get 8 cups (measuring cups – 8 ounces) of water each day.

Couple a healthy diet with cardio workouts – 3-5 days a week, 20-30 minutes per session to start. You can walk, jog, bike, play basketball, do aerobics… whatever you enjoy doing that gets your heart rate up. You don’t have to work out so hard that you feel like you’re dying – work out to the point that you can talk fairly easily, but not jabber on and on. :)

Do strength exercises to build muscle (yep, I’m suggesting this). Building muscle helps you lose fat even faster by speeding up your metabolism. Sit ups, push ups, squats, lunges… all these will help. Do these only every other day – don’t strength train the same muscles two days in a row.

A bunch of different things factor into this including what you are eating everyday, how much activity you are doing, how fast your body reacts to exercise (some people need to exercise only days before seeing results while others need to exercise a month before seeing results) how fast your body gains muscle mass, how much water you are drinking, how much water your body retains after exercise and so on and do fourth so there is no way of knowing how much you will lose but cardio IS the best form of exercise for burning fat. Just make sure you are at least doing moderate exercising meaning you are pushing yourself but not too hard (just hard enough that you start to sweat after about 10-15 minutes) and doing at least a half hour of exercise each time.
